Application

Specifically designed for overlap bonding of EPDM and butyl membranes.
Also intended for bonding these membranes to substrates such as concrete, cement, wood and metal (consult the manufacturer for other substrates).

Technical data

Drying time: 10–20 min (depending on environmental conditions)
Open time (working time after application): 50 ± 10 min
Coverage: approx. 1.5 m²/L – for 100 mm overlaps about 7–10 linear m/L, depending on substrate porosity
Application temperature: from 8 °C to 30 °C
Full cure: 48–72 h

Properties

Excellent initial tack and adhesion to the specified materials.
Very good resistance to ageing and to cold and heat.

ROLLGUM SA008 MAX application instructions

Surfaces must be clean, dry, smooth, and free of dust, oil and other contaminants.
Clean the synthetic membrane surface with a cleaner before application and allow to dry.
Stir thoroughly before use.
Apply the adhesive to the membrane overlap at least 100 mm wide with a solvent-resistant brush. Use a short-pile roller on substrates.
Allow the adhesive to dry for 10–20 min, then join the two surfaces and roll with a silicone roller to ensure full contact.
Avoid bubbles and puddles.

ROLLGUM SA008 MAX storage and shelf life

Store at 10–30 °C.
Shelf life: 12 months in the original, tightly closed container.
