It provides effective and long-lasting sealing for external basement walls, foundations, and foundation slabs. Deuxan 2K is used for waterproofing building structures in accordance with DIN 18195, parts 4-6. This permanently flexible compound is resistant to groundwater and various aggressive substances commonly found in soil. It bridges and seals cracks in the substrate and also acts as a barrier against radon.<\/p>\n<p>KOESTER Deuxan 2K is also suitable for sealing against pressurized water (consumption approx. 6 kg\/m\u00b2 with KOESTER Armierungsgewebe fiberglass mesh embedded in the first layer of bituminous waterproofing). Waterproofing products are classified based on their binders:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bitumen and tar-based<\/strong> (an older method being phased out): These products offer high water resistance and are widely available.
