However, neither the <strong>left tape<\/strong> nor the <strong>right tape<\/strong> has been installed correctly.<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"314\" data-end=\"790\">\n<li data-start=\"314\" data-end=\"541\">On the <strong data-start=\"323\" data-end=\"336\">left tape<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"342\" data-end=\"370\">lower part appears matte<\/strong>, which is the section that <strong data-start=\"398\" data-end=\"448\">should have been embedded in the concrete slab<\/strong>. This indicates that the tape was <strong data-start=\"483\" data-end=\"502\">placed too high<\/strong> or was <strong data-start=\"510\" data-end=\"538\">lifted during concreting<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"542\" data-end=\"664\">On the <strong data-start=\"551\" data-end=\"565\">right tape<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"567\" data-end=\"616\">too much of the tape is submerged in concrete<\/strong>\u2014<strong data-start=\"617\" data-end=\"661\">at least twice as much should be exposed<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"665\" data-end=\"790\">Additionally, the <strong data-start=\"685\" data-end=\"733\">right tape still has transport film attached<\/strong>, which <strong data-start=\"741\" data-end=\"787\">should have been removed before concreting<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"792\" data-end=\"1008\">Most importantly, <strong data-start=\"810\" data-end=\"851\">the two tapes have not been connected<\/strong>. The <strong data-start=\"857\" data-end=\"903\">left tape was not welded to the right tape<\/strong>, meaning <strong data-start=\"913\" data-end=\"951\">there is no proper waterproof seal<\/strong> at the junction between the bottom slab and the walls.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1010\" data-end=\"1042\"><strong data-start=\"1014\" data-end=\"1040\">How Can This Be Fixed?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"1044\" data-end=\"1271\">\n<li data-start=\"1044\" data-end=\"1128\">The <strong data-start=\"1050\" data-end=\"1064\">first step<\/strong> is to <strong data-start=\"1071\" data-end=\"1125\">cut out and remove the incorrectly installed tapes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1129\" data-end=\"1212\">Then, an <strong data-start=\"1140\" data-end=\"1158\">injection hose<\/strong> must be placed and the <strong data-start=\"1182\" data-end=\"1209\">walls must be concreted<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1213\" data-end=\"1271\">Finally, <strong data-start=\"1224\" data-end=\"1256\">an injection sealing process<\/strong> is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1273\" data-end=\"1479\">This means that instead of <strong data-start=\"1300\" data-end=\"1325\">a relatively low cost<\/strong> of <strong data-start=\"1329\" data-end=\"1360\">a few dozen z\u0142oty per meter<\/strong> for properly installing the tapes, the <strong data-start=\"1400\" data-end=\"1442\">cost now rises to 200-300 z\u0142 per meter<\/strong> for <strong data-start=\"1447\" data-end=\"1476\">sealing through injection<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1481\" data-end=\"1649\" data-is-last-node=\"\">This example highlights <strong data-start=\"1505\" data-end=\"1572\">why proper waterproofing\u2014from planning to execution\u2014is critical<\/strong>.
