It represents a <strong>technological advancement<\/strong> over <strong>PVC membranes<\/strong>, offering improved performance. Even under <strong>extreme temperatures<\/strong>, it <strong>does not overheat<\/strong> and remains <strong>resistant to atmospheric conditions<\/strong>. It is characterized by <strong>high impermeability and long durability<\/strong>, making it an <strong>excellent insulation solution<\/strong>. A <strong>single layer<\/strong> is sufficient to provide <strong>maximum protective properties<\/strong> in all areas exposed to <strong>moisture<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin)<\/strong>, sometimes referred to as <strong>FPO (Flexible Polyolefin)<\/strong>, is a general term for materials produced from <strong>plastic elastomers<\/strong>, drawing from years of experience using <strong>EPDM and PVC materials<\/strong> in construction.<\/p>\n<p>A <strong>TPO roofing membrane<\/strong> is a combination of <strong>synthetic rubber (ethylene-propylene)<\/strong> and <strong>polypropylene<\/strong>, sometimes reinforced with a <strong>fiberglass mesh<\/strong>. Thermoplastic polyolefins create a <strong>flexible material<\/strong>, but one that is <strong>less sensitive<\/strong> to extreme <strong>high or low temperatures<\/strong> than <strong>plasticized PVC<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>TPO\/FPO membranes <strong>do not contain toxins, dioxins, or halogens<\/strong>, making them <strong>environmentally friendly<\/strong>, though slightly <strong>more challenging to work with<\/strong>. They also exhibit <strong>greater durability<\/strong> compared to <strong>PVC membranes<\/strong>. Additionally, <strong>installation can be performed at lower temperatures<\/strong>, as <strong>TPO welding requires only 350\u00b0C<\/strong>, whereas <strong>PVC requires 550\u00b0C<\/strong>. This significantly <strong>reduces indirect application costs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>When <strong>two TPO\/FPO elements are welded<\/strong>, they form a <strong>homogeneous structure<\/strong>\u2014the materials <strong>melt into each other<\/strong>, creating a <strong>permanent, seamless bond<\/strong>.
